Exhibition in the Military Museum´s Manege tells about the four wars Finland has fought during it´s independce: the Civil War in 1918, the Winter War in 1939–1940, the Continuation War in 1941–1944 and the Lapland War in 1944–1945. The exhibition continues in the adjacent Artillery Manege, telling the story of the Finnish Defence Forces in the post-war period up to the present day.
Military life in Finland and elsewhere
In the exhibition Military life in Finland and elsewhere in the Artillery Manege, you get to see what it is like to be a soldier, both during wartime and peacetime. You will also get to try some things that are a part of a soldier’s life, and to think if you could meet the requirements set for a soldier, both mentally and physically.
The life of a Finnish submariner
The mini exhibition that can be seen in the Artillery Manege presents Finnish submarines and tells about the everyday life of those who served on submarines. The exhibition features interesting objects related to submarine crews.
