The exhibitions of the Military Museum are temporarily closed

The Finnish Defence Forces has issued restrictions to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Therefore the exhibitions of the Military Museum, The Military Museum´s Manege and the Artillery Manege at Suomenlinna, have closed to the public from 13 March 2020 until further notice.

Free admission for persons under 18

From 2 January 2020 onwards admission is free for persons under 18 years. Admission is free also for school and student groups accompanied by a teacher, war veterans, peacekeeping veterans, unemployed, conscripts, Finnish Defence Forces´ personnel, with museum card Museokortti and with Helsinki-Card.

Collection services of the Military Museum in 2020

The Military Museum has transferred its collections in Helsinki to a collection centre in Vantaa and now the museum is arranging the collections. The collection services (loans/information service/ item research, photography etc.) are closed and will next be opened in a time that will be announced later.
