The Flag Day of the Finnish Defence Forces on the 4th of June 

On the Flag Day, admission to the Military Museum's exhibitions is free. The programme includes two free guided tours at the Military Museum's Manege. The guided tour starting at 13:00 will focus on Marshal Mannerheim and his life, and at 15:00 the theme will be Knights of the Mannerheim Cross. The guided tours are in Finnish.

Maritime Helsinki theme weekend 5–7 June and Suomenlinna Museum Day 6 June

The traditional Suomenlinna Museum Day will be celebrated on Saturday, 6 June. The Military Museum's exhibitions are open from 11:00 to 20:00 and admission is free. The day's program includes not only guided tours of the exhibitions, but also a craft workshop for children. More information on the event's website.

Summer opening hours into use in all exhibitions of the Military Museum

All of the Military Museum's exhibitions in Suomenlinna have changed to the summer opening hours. The Military Museum's Manege, Artillery Manege and submarine Vesikko are now open every day from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Summer hours are valid until 30 September 2026.

The Military Museum's exhibitions were awarded the STF label on 22 December 2025

At the end of 2025, the Military Museum's exhibitions completed the Sustainable Travel Finland programme, at the end of which it was granted the right to use the STF label in recognition of the work done for sustainable tourism. Read more about sustainability.
